Are you meeting HACCP and food safety requirements?
The rules are changing for Caribbean hotels and resorts.
Recent updates in the US Food Safety Modernization Act, UK Food Law Code of Practice and EU FIC Regulations on Food Labelling (allergenic ingredients), require businesses to take a more proactive approach to food safety.
Hotels are being put under increasing pressure from tour operators to meet both national and international food safety standards due to increased liability following the adoption of the EU Package Travel Directive at the end of 2015.
The best practice approach to meeting this proactive requirement is the implementation of a HACCP based Food Safety Management System (FSMS), supported by effective staff training to:
- Significantly reduce the risk of a damaging food poisoning incident
- Provide a due diligence defence against litigation
- Build your reputation, brand image and the confidence of tour operators and your customers
