Training for the Hospitality & Cruise Ship Industry

Springboard has developed its Hospitality Training & Employment Programme to provide skills training for those interested in working in the Cruise Ship, Hotel and Tourism Industry. The qualifications on offer under this programme are:

  • VTCT Level 2 Qualification – Hospitality Industry Skills – Bar Service
  • VTCT Level 2 Qualification – Hospitality Industry Skills – Food (Restaurant) Service
  • VTCT Level 2 Qualification – Hospitality Industry Skills – Kitchen & Food presentation
  • VTCT Level 2 Qualification – Hospitality Industry Skills – Housekeeping
  •  

    Springboard continues to develop relationships with Employer Partners to ensure that graduates of this programme are offered the opportunity to be interviewed for sustainable and well paid positions within the industry. To date 540 graduates have been offered full time positions as a direct result of their involvement within the Bar Service and Food (Restaurant) Service programmes. This represents a success rate of 90% of all those put forward for interview.

    Through a partnership with the government of St Lucia students enrolled on this programme are able to obtain funding assistance, through a student loan, to cover some of their tuition costs and all costs involved in taking up their job offers. This may include medical fitness examinations, obtaining of appropriate visas and travel costs.
