Course Overview

This course builds on the “Unlocking Your Leadership Potential to Drive Business Performance” unit, and recognises that as a leader, you are reliant on the commitment and performance of your team to improve productivity and overall organisational success.

You will learn what teamworking is, the psychology of teams, and the building blocks that need to be in place to create a fully functioning and high performing team.

As managing performance is a key element in creating a high performing team, you will learn how to implement an effective Performance Management System, including how to set and deconstruct goals, as well as how to provide ongoing feedback and undertake an effective appraisal interview.

Certification

This unit forms part of the “Diploma in Management & Leadership for Business and Hospitality” qualification, accredited by the Confederation for Tourism and Hospitality. Units from this program can be individually completed and certificated by the CTH, following assessment.
